Occupational Therapy

What is an occupational therapist?
Occupational therapists are health professionals who help people of all ages engage in all the activities of daily life. This could include play, school, work and self-care.

What can an occupational therapist help my child?
Our occupational therapists are skilled in helping children in all of these areas:
  • When handwriting, drawing, or using scissors is hard
  • Staying calmer throughout the day with emotional regulation strategies
  • Fussy eaters
  • Concentrating on tasks at school and home
  • When sensory information is overwhelming (e.g. sounds, or particular textures)
  • When going to the toilet is scary or hard to manage
  • Expanding play skills

All of our occupational therapists have experience working with children with disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Kabuki Syndrome, William's Syndrome
