Business Planning Policy
The Directors of Next Challenge Enterprises (NCE) Pty Ltd, trading as Next Challenge, follow a Business Plan that is updated annually. The Business Plan is updated or amended more frequently, according to the changing market and business conditions.
All Directors are involved at the annual planning stage and with more frequent planning sessions as needed and must endorse plans and additions. Long term strategic plans set directions for the company and reviewed as part of these planning sessions.
Business planning is integrated within the weekly operational functions of the business ensuring Next Challenge's commitment to achieve business goals. Business planning is assisted by suitable facilitation/mentors and with advice from qualified experts in specific fields as required.
Next Challenge holds regular Management meetings to endorse Business Planning requirements and meet corporate governance requirements. The company maintains Performance Indicators and measures achievements against these indicators.
Strategic planning and business plans focus on the following Clinical Services Analysis © model elements.
Management & Professional Support – the organisational structure of Next Challenge balances the needs for therapists to be supported by both managerial based processes and clinical support based processes. A dual structure of employee support ensures each individual employee is supported in their personal outcomes in both efficiency in service provision (management) and effectiveness (clinical specialist support and/or external mentoring).
Resource Allocation, Resource Organisation & Clinical Standards: These three elements are monitored and continually improved through the organisational structure (financial systems and human resource systems) and processes to capture employee (e.g. team suggestion databases) and family requirements (e.g. family feedback) for where resources are spent, how well they are organised for efficient use, and the evidence of resource allocation based on clinical evidence and family need.
Resource Use, Access, and Quality of Services: The final three elements are measured based on family experiences through direct discussion between families and therapists and through family feedback tools. The internal client database captures a range of measures to provide organisational tracking of service provision and outcomes.
Next Challenge is responsive to stakeholder and client feedback and requests for services and endeavors to incorporate suggestions and service requests made by clients and their families into business planning. Customers and other agencies are encouraged to provide feedback on our policies at any time through the use of a feedback form on the website accompanying all policies. Client and partnering organisation feedback is regularly compiled as part of the company process with results documented and actioned at Director meetings and Whole of Staff meetings as part of the company's research and development program (see Policy Section 3).
