Key Word Sign Workshop (Full Day)


This workshop covers the use of Key Word Sign (KWS) and natural gesture to support and encourage language development with individuals with communication difficulties. This workshop is suitable for parents, teachers, EAs, therapist and uni students.

Key word sign is a tool to:
  • Aid understanding
  • Use as speech develops
  • Create an environment that is supportive of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication)

This workshop is suitable for caregivers, teachers, EAs and other allied health specialists. In this workshop you will:
  • Learn to use sign and natural gesture to support communication
  • Encourage language development in individuals with communication difficulties

​Location:
  • Osborne Park clinic (Unit 4/14 Main Street, Osborne Park, 6017) 
  • You can find free street parking on Waterloo Street and Baden street, a short walk from the clinic. Please leave the dedicated parking spaces in front of our clinic for our clients.

Cost/Details:
  • $350.00 (please note, cost may change in future)
  • Registration fee includes a copy of the 'Getting Started with Key Word Sign' book
  • NDIS self-managed or plan-managed participants may be eligible to use their funding (Capacity Building: Improved Daily Living) to access this workshop. Check with your plan manager or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) to confirm if you can be reimbursed.
