The TAC-K is a screening tool used widely to identify children's level of oral language development. It can also be used as a classroom goal setting tool to assist in the development of oral language programs to meet the needs of students or for referral for additional support.
The TAC-K was updated in 2022, and new scoring guidelines have been established.

Please note, this purchase allows lifetime access to resources for administering the TAC-K. This purchase does not include resources for scoring and analysis. There are multiple scoring and analysis options available at an additional cost.
- Option 1: Next Challenge Speech Pathologists can assist with the scoring and analysis of results for the TAC-K scores. Please email Next Challenge at [email protected] for a quote for these services. Our speech pathologists can also conduct the screens at your school. It is strongly recommended that a Speech Pathologist is involved in the data scoring to ensure accurate and efficient analysis and recommendations.
- Option 2: A school can arrange with an external Speech Pathologist to be involved in training and on-going collaboration on the test including the final scoring and analysis of results. This accreditation process can be completed online, with the purchase of our Scoring Accreditation package. Link to scoring and analysis pack here.
- Option 3: The teacher who administers the screens can receive additional training to score and analyse the screen data. This accreditation process can be completed online, with the purchase of our Scoring Accreditation package.
