Termination/ Resignation Policy
Next Challenge is unable to offer permanent positions given the variable nature of client requirements. However for the duration of the contract and subsequent extensions the Employee will be kept fully informed of Next Challenge plans and directions, with clear indications of the likelihood of contract extensions as early as possible. Next Challenge also maintains the right to not extend or to terminate a contract where the employee is considered to have not met standards of professional service delivery, specified time frames, specified values or has been negligent in conducting any duties associated with this contract. If termination is considered warranted, notice will be given of two weeks/ or the end of the contract (which ever occurs first). Next Challenge aims to be a highly respected organisation recognised for advanced practice in both service delivery and in human resource management. Therefore employees will be clearly alerted to gaps in expected performance and given every opportunity to demonstrate improvement prior to a decision of termination.
Where an issue arises the Employer and the Employee agree to seek facilitation and mediation to be provided by a Director of Next Challenge not involved in the issue, with an additional representative able to be present on the Employee’s behalf, and of their choosing.
On resignation or termination Employees agree to not create a practice that is deemed to be competitive with Next Challenge services for a period of twelve months. Signing of the Employment Contract indicates the Employees agreement to abide by these conditions.
